Today an American Language Assistant came to our class. She was from New York in the United States of America. Her name is Amanda.
We got to see and touch real American money! For example coins, like the penny, nickel, dime and quarter. We also saw a dollar bill. We learned about the presidents of the U.S.A.
We spoke in English the whole time!
We watched videos of American sports, such as baseball and American football.
We even saw a video of the New York City Thanksgiving Day Parade, which is very famous in the United States.
Since Teacher Amanda is from New York, she taught us to sing a song called "Empire State of Mind" which is about New York City.
